Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give and celebrate generosity. It typically takes place on the Tuesday after “Cyber Monday”. This year, it is slated for December 1st.
We are asking for YOUR help!
Medicaid waiver rates only cover 84.88% of our community day program service costs. That means $40 per week for each person who relies on our programs is unpaid. In addition, the State of Illinois does not pay for approximately 2.5 months of the day services that are provided to those who attend on a routine daily basis.
Your donations assure that EVERYONE who is enrolled in our Medicaid waiver programs receive year-round, daily services.
Whether you give $10 or collect donations from 10 friends, a little bit can make a HUGE difference when we work together. We’re calling on you to help us make a difference!
Please remember that, buried in the CARES Act, is a measure (Section 2204) that allows for a taxable deduction of cash contributions to an essential organization like CCAR for up to $300 for someone who uses the standard deduction. Whereas, in the past, this was eliminated for them. It also allows (Section 2205) for a taxable deduction of up to 100% of the tax payer’s adjusted gross income if they itemize. This was previously capped at 60%. Just a little food for thought for those who would like to help us this season.
